The CashKey is a programmable key that provides a cashless way to use parking meters operated by the Facilities & Services, Parking Department. The CashKey can be carried on your key chain and eliminates the need to carry coins for meter parking. How does the University Parking District CashKey work? The CashKey can be programmed at the time of purchase for $10 to $100 of value for each meter provider (plus an initial non-refundable purchase fee of $19.50). Parking meters located on the University of Illinois campus are provided by the Parking Department, City of Champaign, and the City of Urbana. The provider of any campus meter can be determined by locating the identification sticker affixed to the front of each meter.
When you fully insert the key into the meter it displays the dollar value remaining on your key for the provider of the meter that you are attempting to use.(contd...)
