Day Meter Permits may be used at University of Illinois meters only (excluding red short term meters). University meters are designated by the "Block I" displayed across the top of the meter. They become valid when you scratch off the month, day, and year, and place the permit on the rear-view mirror with the date displayed toward the windshield. Day Meter Permits can be purchased online, over the phone, or in person.
